You have the right to have your vehicle repaired at the shop of your choice.
Dealing with the stress of a collision is hard enough without trying to figure out how your accident insurance works. Here are some answers to frequently-asked questions about insurance policies.

Will the insurance company guarantee your work?

We guarantee our own work, but the insurance company does not have the legal right to guarantee a third party's work.

Who pays for repairs?

It depends on the circumstances. If you were at fault, but have comprehensive or collision insurance, the insurance company would pay the costs minus your deductible. If the other party was at fault, their insurance company should pay.

Do I have to accept the insurance company's appraisal of damage?

No. Check the "Appraisal Clause" in your policy if you have differences with their appraisal. It allows you and the insurance company to gather an opinion from an appraiser you both agree upon, or a third-party "Umpire" if you cannot agree.

Do I have the right to a rental car?

If you have purchased rental car coverage and were not responsible for the accident, you may seek reimbursement from the insurance company or, if another driver was responsible for the accident, their insurance company. If you do not have rental car coverage and were responsible for the accident, you have no grounds to ask for reimbursement. If the other driver was liable, you can generally seek reimbursement from their insurance company.

Who do I call to file a claim?

Reach out to your agent or insurance provider. If someone else is liable for your damages, it's essential to also get in touch with their insurance agent or company. The assigned adjuster will then guide you on any further necessary actions.

What does my policy require me to do after an accident?

Inform your insurance provider about the accident's details, including the time, location, and circumstances of the incident. Provide the names and addresses of individuals injured in the accident as well as any potential witnesses. Collaborate fully with the investigation process. Lastly, acquire or grant authorization for your insurance company to secure necessary documents, medical records, and relevant information.

This place is truly awesome! Today (4/16/2026) I was and an unfortunate situation where I picked up a large bolt in my tire. I did not have my jack or tools with me and I was stuck with my two small children. This happened about a half a mile from their shop and as I was looking for a safe place to pull over, I came across this business. As I walked in, I was greeted by Crystal who is an absolute saint! I asked her if her guys could possibly put on my spare tire so that I could get my defective tire fixed up the road where I purchased them. I saw the look of determination in her eyes as she asked me to wait just a second. I watched her walk out and talk to her team who were obviously very busy and working hard on different projects and they stopped what they were doing and were truly eager to help! Mike and Omar not only stopped what they were doing to assist, they both went above and beyond, by not only changing out my tire, with my spare, but actually patching my defective one, and getting me back on the road in minutes! This was all while Crystal stood by and chatted with my very curious toddlers. Such an awesome team! I tried to pay, but they stood firm on their kindness and Integrity. Wow! In today’s world, It’s so nice to see a company that puts people in need over a quick dollar. Well done guys! Thank you so much, again!

My family's cars see's them more then they should lol... I can't say enough about this amazing body shop! Customer service went Above & BEYOND! Unfortunately, my daughters car was not repairable, nonetheless, Estes answered every question i had, advised me on things and never acted like i was wasting their time or bothering them!! They are locally owned and have been in business for over 40 years! If you need s reputable, honest, curious auto body shop, look no further!!!

Our car was recently towed to Larry Estes Body Shop. Everyone from the receptionist at the front desk to the person doing the estimate on the damage from an accident were wonderful. They communicated with us throughout and helped us with the insurance. After doing a thorough estimate the car was totalled. When I asked what we owed for the estimate they said nothing. Because of their professionalism and their helpfulness I would recommend them highly.

Estes body shop is very professional. They have great body men and excellent painters. I resently took them my 2025 Nissan Frontier that had the left rear quarter panel scrapped badly by a driver that didn’t leave their information. Within a week and a half we settled insurance and the repairs were completed. Wonderful paint work and color match. Obviously, I highly recommend Estes Body shop.

LJ fixed my sisters trunk latch today and it was a fantastic experience! We only waited 10 minutes for the simple fix, but in the office we overheard the service towards other customers. They are honest people who won’t give you false promises or try to take your car in for a quick buck. They gave out completely realistic expectations and advice to each customer. You could tell they were really trying to help to the best of their abilities. LJ had the latch fixed in under 20 minutes, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the make and model common issues. They know cars inside and out here! Overall I would 1000% visit again for any body part repair. They also have really cute sweet dogs that you can pet!!
